The Titanosaur was the largest animal to ever walk on Earth. It lived 100 to 95 million years ago, during the Late Cretaceous period. Dr. Mark Norell, Curator of Paleontology at the American Museum of Natural History, explains how the remains were found, excavated and how a cast was made so that a standing skeleton could be on display at the museum. It is so big that its head extends outside of the Museum's fourth-floor gallery where it is on permanent display.
